Challenge - Tag 1 / Day 1

Tag 1 der Challenge Blog each day in august. Wie immer bei einer Challenge bin ich noch voller Elan. Wir werden sehen, wie das in den nächsten Tagen weitergeht.

Day 1 of the Blog each day in august - Challenge. As always with a new thing and a challenge I'm all for into and bursting with energy. We'll see how this will go on as the month draggs on.

Tag 1 hat das Thema Die Geschichte deines Lebens in 250 Worten. Na, das geht ja schon gut los. 250 Worte? Ich versuche es.

Day 1's theme is "The story of your life in 250 words". Now, that's a tough one. 250 words? I'll try.

Geboren wurde ich in Wilhelmshaven, aufgewachsen bin ich in Jever, also in Friesland an der Nordsee. Ich fahre noch heute an die Küste, wenn ich wirklich nachdenken muss. Als ich 14 war, zogen wir aufgrund der Scheidung meiner Eltern nach Wesel, Niederrhein. Ich habe es gehasst. Ein 45.000 Einwohner-Dorf! Und dann noch mit den Großeltern unter einem Dach. Ich kann das warum verstehen, gefallen hat es mir aber nicht. Mir war sehr klar, dass ich meine Schulzeit dort absitze und dann so schnell wie möglich weg ziehe.
Zum Studium bin ich dann natürlich wieder nach Norddeutschland gegangen, ins schöne Hamburg. Studienfach war damals Mathe und Geschichte auf Lehramt, ein Kompromiss für eine spätere Anstellung. Das Studienfach hat sich inzwischen auf Geschichte geändert und zwischendrin war ich auch schon so weit, es ganz aufzugeben. Auch beziehungstechnisch gab es einige Umwege. Seit inzwischen über 3 Jahren bin ich aber mit meinem Freund, einem Schiffbauer, sehr glücklich. Wir leben zusammen mit zwei Katzen in einer schönen Wohnung im Osten Hamburgs.
Mein wohl größtes Hobby ist das Rollenspiel, vor allem Life-Rollenspiel. Dazu kommt die Kostümnäherei, die ich inzwischen auch zum Beruf gemacht habe. Beruflich nähe ich so ziemlich alles von Brautkleid über Filmkostüm bis hin zu historischer oder Fantasy-Bekleidung für Märkte und Rollenspiel. Privat mag ich vor nach wie vor Rokokoroben, inzwischen habe ich mich aber auch mit Tournüren angefreundet. Und natürlich Kleider für Mittelaltermärkte. Daneben arbeite ich in der Geschäftsstelle eines 250 Jahre alten Vereins und versuche mein Studium doch noch zu beenden.

I was born in Wilhelmshaven and grew up in the lovely small town of Jever, near the north sea. I'll still travel to the sea if I really have to think things through. When I was 14 years old my parents divorced and we moved to Wesel in the middle of nowhere - i.e. Niederrhein. A 45 000 inhabitants-village! And we moved into my grandparents' house. I can understand the reasons, still I hated it. I decided very early on staying till I graduate and then move on as soon as possible. I choose the wonderful town of Hamburg for my time at university and fell in love with it instantly. 
When I started university I compromised about studying history and math and become a teacher. Bad choice. I skipped math and the teacher part after some years of trying and got on with history. I still try to finish this one. Life moved on and I had to work for my Studies. And I made a couple of not so good choices regarding boyfriends. But at least, I found the person I want to share my life with. We are together for a bit more than three years now and live together with two cats in a flat in the east part of Hamburg. 
My most time consuming pasttime is roleplay, exspacially life-roleplay. The second one is sewing costumes, which I make part of my living from. As a job I sew almost anything from bridal gowns to movie-inspired-costumes to historical or fantasy garb for markets and LARP. For myself I still love the georgian times but I came to termes with bustle dresses as well. Besides that I sew dresses for medieval markets. 
The other part of my living comes from working as a secretary for a 250-year-old club in Hamburg.
